Chris Kelly from the Times Tribune played the phobia card (phobia: a suffix liberals use when they have no rational argument. Ex: Islamophobia, xenophobia, homophobia, etc.). He claims he’s a true American and better than those who express concerns about Syrian refugees, saying Syrian refugeephobes “deserve neither liberty nor safety” because they would “deny liberty and safety to fellow human beings out of ignorance and the fear it feeds.”
(All this just a few days after admitting that his opinions on Charter Schools are rooted in ignorance)
Are there any legitimate fears about anything? If so, are there any legitimate concerns about terrorism?
Are there any legitimate concerns about US national security? Are there any legitimate concerns about infiltration?
Are there any legitimate limits to our ability to spend?
Are there any legitimate limits to our ability to accommodate all the worlds refugees?
Are there any legitimate priorities?
Then we are not arguing about drawing a line, but simply where the line should be drawn.
